Parry Sound tourism filming with Georgian Bay Airways

In August, I had the awesome experience of boarding a floatplane and flying to Wreck Island in the famed 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay, offshore from Parry Sound, Ontario. Georgian Bay Airways has an incredible Fly & Hike excursion and I loaded up the backpack and hit the island and its trails to film a storytelling video to capture the uniqueness of the experience. This is the kind of filmmaking where I’m completely in my element, surrounded by trees, rocks, water and nature, and a pack full of video gear.

You can’t beat the wildness viewed from the air in this special region of Canada. That makes this excursion a double treat: Jaw-dropping and inspiring scenery from the air, and a rugged island to hike that makes you feel like you’re in a remote destination.

The full video will be released in September 2018. In the meantime, watch the trailer
