Woodland Pond in Spring
Over the past several weeks while travelling to and from meetings and work, I’ve been doing my own spring ritual. I always pack my camera on trips, but spring trips are different because sometimes it affords only fleeting glimpses of migrating wildlife. This was the case recently when I managed to find a half-dozen Common Loons in a pond. I was able to spend more than 30 minutes hunkered down in some bushes capturing broll footage of these majestic birds.
Broll is footage that I’m constantly filming in all seasons. This footage ends up in my personal bank of footage that can be used, when needed, on client films and production. When a client says “Hey, do you have footage of loons?” I can reply “Yes, I do!”
Here’s a sample of some clips captured this spring. Enjoy!
