WorkCabin Creative films for Waste Management (WM)
WorkCabin Creative was hired by Waste Management to film and produce a corporate video about environmental initiatives at its Twin Creeks Environmental Centre landfill in Watford, Ontario. Filming took place over several days in August, September and October 2021.
About The Facility
The Twin Creeks Environmental Centre, formerly the Warwick Landfill, is a regional facility located in Watford, Ontario.
The Twin Creeks Environmental Centre is engineered with environmental protection systems that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and are subject to highly regulated monitoring and reporting requirements. Systems include engineered liners and covers, leachate collection and removal, landfill gas collection and control, and on-site leachate disposal through phytoremediation.
The renewable bio-gas produced by the landfill is provided to a neighbouring greenhouse to grow produce, which is sold throughout Ontario and Quebec, creating employment opportunities for the local community.
The Twin Creeks Environmental Centre has been certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council since 2004. The site includes native grasslands, a poplar plantation that links existing forested areas, and a mix of upland tree species and diverse understory plants.
